What is the difference between regular yoga and yoga for pregnant women?
Regular yoga
Includes varied and sometimes intense asanas that may require significant physical activity and joint flexibility. During the classes, deep bends, twists, exercises are performed on the stomach, upside down. To enter deeper poses, blocks, belts, and stretching bands are used. The lesson can take place in conditions of high air temperature to better warm up and stretch the soft tissues of the body, and the duration often reaches 90 minutes.
Yoga during pregnancy
Classes are fully adapted for the safety and comfort of pregnant women. The practice is aimed at gentle stretching and muscle strengthening. Poses that put pressure on the abdomen, as well as balance poses with closed eyes, in which it is difficult to maintain balance, are excluded. Breathing techniques are soft and rhythmic, helping to relax and relieve stress.
The practice lasts about 1 hour in a comfortable environment, focusing on asanas that help reduce back pain, swelling, improve posture, strengthen the pelvic floor muscles and prepare the body for childbirth.
