You should return to sports after a cesarean section only after the tissues around the suture have completely healed and become mobile. on average, this takes 3 months, and the degree of healing is usually monitored by a doctor during an examination. You should start training with light exercises, including walking, swimming or relaxation yoga. The intensity and duration of training can be increased gradually, focusing on your own feelings.

Yoga

If you’d like to start with the most gentle, safe exercise possible after pregnancy, consider taking a yoga class. Yoga exercises are very varied and numerous, they can be easily adapted to a woman’s individual condition. Yoga has a gentle effect on the whole body, and special attention in training is paid to back health and posture correction. There are different types of yoga, including: power, dynamic, relaxation, with meditation, which allows you to choose the most pleasant, effective option for yourself.

Swimming

During swimming, the body receives a moderate load, in which there is no shortness of breath or burning in the muscles. The back, abs, arms, buttock muscles are strengthened, rhythmic breathing and endurance of the body are trained. Moreover, swimming is an option for postpartum sports that you can do together with your baby. Stretching
